The Sudbury Santa Claus Parade

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Greater Sudbury Santa Claus Parade!

We require volunteers in one of four capacities:

1) Mascots/Costumed Characters (16 years of age and over)

These volunteers will be provided with a mascot costume and would walk the parade route wearing the costume. We need dynamic, outgoing people to wave to the crowds and greet excited children.

2) Mascot Escort (16 years of age and over):

These volunteers are needed to guide our costumed friends through the parade, as some costumes have obstructed site lines. The mascots rely on their escort to help them if the crowds get a little too excited and can help them keep up with the Parade.

3) Parade Marshals (18 years of age and over):

These volunteers will walk the parade route ensuring that the crowds are kept away from the floats and making sure that the parade keeps moving. These volunteers will also assist with Parade logistics as required. We need volunteers who will assist the paradeparticipants prior to the parade start. We are looking for outgoing individuals with the spirit of the season.

4) Parade Logistics (18 years of age and over)

Adults are needed to assist police and security to man traffic barricades and direct traffic. We require volunteers who are authoritative and who are not easily intimidated.
